Have you ever stopped to think how bizarre some of our customs and traditions are? And why they are the way they are and not different?

I’m not just talking about the odd tradition of pretending that a bunny brings and then hides a bunch of colored eggs. Why is it perfectly acceptable to stick your finger in your ear, but if you stick your finger up your nose, you’re a social outcast?

Why do people feel the need to yell “Gesundheit!” or “God bless you!” from 2 rooms away when you sneeze, but nobody says a word when you cough?

Why are soldiers, who kill people for money, considered heroes - while prostitutes, who make people feel good for money, are considered human garbage?

And how are professional athletes, models and actresses different from prostitutes? Do they not sell their bodies for money as well?

And how come actors and court jesters were just one step above beggars in medieval times, but today they are idolized as pop culture royalty?

I wonder how many people really had to do that this year.
